8 dead, 20 injured in Turkey traffic crash

ANKARA - At least eight people were killed and 20 others injured as a passenger bus turned over in central Turkey on Wednesday, private Dogan news agency reported.
The serious accident occurred on Aksaray-Ankara Highway, 20 kilometers near the city of Aksaray on Wednesday morning when the passenger bus was carrying more than 30 people from the largest city of Istanbul to Hatay province bordering neighboring Syria, according to the report.
The report said that the driver of the bus lost control of direction and the vehicle turned over, leaving eight people dead and 20 other injured, including one Syrian citizen.
The injured were sent to hospitals for medical treatment, said the report, adding an investigation into the accident was underway.
Meanwhile, another traffic accident took place in Sakaray province near Istanbul on Wednesday, killing two people and injuring five others.
