BEIRUT/ALGIERS - Algeria and Lebanon both hailed the nuclear deal reached between Iran and six world powers in Vienna on Tuesday, local media reported.
Lebanon's Prime Minister Tammam Salam on Tuesday hoped that the nuclear deal would reflect positively on the situation in the Middle East, notably in terms of reducing tension and promoting peace and stability.
Lebanese Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil also said that the nuclear agreement brings "positive hopes for a bright future in our region despite Israel's intransigence and its continuous military buildup."
Algeria on Tuesday said the reached agreement between Iran and the world powers on Iran's nuclear program is a "victory of diplomacy and dialogue.
"This historical and important agreement represents a victory for diplomacy and dialogue as a decisive choice in favor of peace and international security. It opens up new prospects for stability and development for the countries and peoples of the region," spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Abdelaziz Benali Cherif was quoted as saying by APS news agency.
Iran and six world powers (China, the United States, France, Britain, Russia and Germany) have reached a deal stipulating to lift a 12-year sanctions and embargo on Tehran, in exchange for limiting its nuclear program.
The agreement is the fruit of 21 months of negotiation, as all the international community has welcomed the deal, except Israel which qualifies it as "historic mistake."
