Preparations underway for 2018 China-EU Tourism Year

Train lines in Europe, as well as airlines in China, have launched more facilitating conditions to boost China-Europe tourism.

Eurail, a company which provides train passes allowing pass holders to travel across 28 European countries on nearly all European railroads and shipping lines, has launched a series of new products tailored to Chinese travelers.

One of the most striking features was to include travelling on the Eurostar into the Eurail pass, which enables a person to travel on the Eurostar from London to Paris. Eurostar, a high-speed railway service connecting London with Avignon, Brussels, Lille, Lyon, Marseille and Paris, required an additional ticket to travel on previously.

Passes, from one to four countries, are available to travelers with an abundant amount of time, enabling them to deeply experience local culture.

The youth pass available also provide tourists under the age of 27 with a discount of up to 35 percent. The discount, which launched this year, was previous only available to persons up to 25-years-old.

An array of Chinese airlines – including Hainan Airlines, Tianjin Airlines, Beijing Capital Airlines and Air China – are set to open new routes from June to September this year. The new routes available will link major cities in China – such as Beijing, Tianjin, Qingdao, Hangzhou, Changsha, Chengdu, Shenzhen – to European cities, including London, Vienna, Lisbon, Madrid and Athens.
