LONDON - The third terrorist involved in the weekend attack on London Bridge was named Tuesday in Italian media.

Reports have given his name as Moroccan-born Italian Youssef Zaghba.

Media in Italy claim Zaghba was stopped by the authorities in Bologna last year when he was en route to Syria.

The Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera said in a report that the Italian intelligence services reported Youssef's movements to their British counterparts.

British police have also identified the third attacker as Youssef Zaghba, but said the 22-year-old was not subject of M15 (Britain's security agency) interest.

London Metropolitan Police Monday released the names of the other two terrorists, Pakistan-born Khuram Butt, 27, and Rachid Radouane, 30, who were both from the Barking area of London.

All the three men confronted and shot dead by armed officers within eight minutes of the first call as the trio mowed people down on London Bridge before slashing people with knives in a frenzied attack on civilians. Their carnage left seven people dead and 48 injured.
