FBI arrests man charged with kidnapping Chinese scholar

FBI agents arrested Brendt Christensen, 27, of Champaign, Illinois, on a criminal complaint charging Christensen of kidnapping visiting Chinese scholar Zhang Yingying on June 9.
According to a US Department of Justice press release, Christensen will remain in police custody pending his initial federal court appearance in Urbana on July 3.
Law enforcement agents believe that Zhang is no longer alive.
