FM to attend ASEAN-related meetings in Manila
Foreign Minister Wang Yi will attend a series of meetings of foreign ministers in the Philippine capital Manila from Sunday to Tuesday.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang made the announcement in a written statement issued on the ministry's website on Thursday.
Wang will meet with foreign ministers from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Japan and the Republic of Korea, as well as those attending the East Asia Summit and the ASEAN Regional Forum.
This year the Philippines takes the rotating chair of ASEAN and it also marks the 50th anniversary of ASEAN's founding.
Wang will attend an event marking the annivesary, Geng said.
