John McCallum, member of Parliament(MP)for Markham-Thornhill, met Chinese media on Jan 20 in Markham. Canada's former immigration minister who was recently appointed by Premier Justin Trudeau as the next ambassador to China, said he is excited to take the post and that his relations with China and his economics background will be an asset in dealing with China.
