Faye Wong concerts

After a six-year hiatus, pop diva Faye Wong, a Beijinger who launched her mega-watt career in Hong Kong, returned with a vengeance. Her 10 sold-out concerts in Beijing and Shanghai were marked by astronomically high ticket prices and almost no chitchat during the performances. She did not give encores or have guest singers, either - though she did start her microblog, on which she exuded a peculiar kind of humor.

Wong's tour will continue into the new year, in Hong Kong and Taipei.
