Located southeast of the Xi'an City, Tang Paradise, designed by expert Zhang Jinqiu, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, is a cultural theme park built in the Tang Dynasty (618-907) architectural style.
Twelve scenic regions throughout the park provides visitors with a perfect exhibition of the grandness, prosperity and brilliance of Tang Dynasty culture.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel stayed at the park’s hotel when she visited Xi'an in 2010. She celebrated her 56th birthday in the park, and received several traditional Chinese gifts from Xi'an locals.
