Shanghai Port's container flow rises in March

Container flow through Shanghai's port, the world's largest container port by volume, registered a moderate increase in March, the port authority said.
The port in March handled 2.88 million 20-foot equivalent units of containers, up 5.4 percent from a year earlier, data from the port authority showed.
Container volume at the port during the first quarter also increased by 3.5 percent from the previous year to 7.8 million TEU of containers, port data showed. These containers totaled 130 million metric tons, up 7.8 percent year-on-year, the port said.
