WARSAW - Chinese Peixin International Group, the first Chinese company enters the Polish capital market, on Wednesday held a listing ceremony at the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
"The new listing of Peixin comes as a result of the consistently and increasingly boldly pursued strategy of internationalization of the Polish capital market and the exchange itself,"said Adam Maciejewski, president of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Chinese Ambassador to Poland Xu Jian was also present at the ceremony.
Peixin's public offer covered 1 million shares including 200,000 shares for private investors. The issue price was set at PLN 16 ($5.15). Initially Peixin's offer was 4 million shares at the maximum price of PLN 25.
Peixin specialises in the design and manufacture of converting and packaging machinery and complete plants for the paper products and hygiene disposable industries.
Warsaw Stock Exchange is the biggest securities exchange in Central and Eastern Europe.
