Firefighters extinguished a restaurant blaze in Beijing on Thursday afternoon. No one was hurt.
A hotpot restaurant, Xie Lao Song, on North Third Ring Road East caught fire in midafternoon. Four firetrucks arrived at 3:04 pm, an official surnamed Jia from the fire department told China Daily on Thursday.
A restaurant manager surnamed Guan said that the fire was discovered at about 2:30 pm in the restaurant’s flue.
The smoke around the restaurant caught the attention of many residents in nearby communities, causing traffic jams on North Third Ring Road.
The fire was put out in about an hour. No one was injured, the fire department of Beijing Public Security Bureau said in its official micro blog on Thursday afternoon.
