E China factory fire kills 8

HANGZHOU - Eight people were killed in a factory fire on Friday morning in East China's Zhejiang province, local authorities said.
The fire occurred around 7:40 am in a plastic factory in Dushan township of Pinghu, a county-level city of Jiaxing city, according to a statement from Pinghu government.
The fire was extinguished at 9 am Seven people were found dead on the spot and another died after receiving hospital treatment, it said.
Another five suffered injuries and are receiving treatment, and further investigation into the cause of the accident is under way.
