Man attempts suicide in Beijing video shop

A middle-aged man attempted to commit suicide in a Beijing video shop on Sunday, the Beijing News reported on Monday.
A witness said the man stood for some time at the doorway of a video shop on Xizhimennei Street before he attempted to kill himself with a knife. Police responded to a report of the incident and sent the man to a local hospital.
The man is still in critical condition, and the reason of the attempted suicide is not known.
Police are still investigating.
