A man in Beijing's Changping district was arrested on suspicions that he was in illegal possession of firearms after he quarreled with neighbors and fired his shotgun into the air, Beijing Morning Post reported on Friday.
The man, surnamed Shi, bought a shotgun and 100 bullets in Hebei province as early as in 1994 and hid them in his home.
In August, he quarreled with neighbors after complaining that their music for dancing on the square downstairs was too loud.
The angry man then took out his shotgun and fired into the air. He also released his three massive Tibetan mastiffs, letting them rush into the dancing crowd. No casualties were reported.
