Beijing's Subway Line 10 continued its reduced service on Friday following a signal malfunction on Thursday night which stranded a large number of commuters.
Some stations, such as Shuangjing, took measures on Friday morning to control passenger numbers for safety reasons, China Central Television reported.
The malfunction on Thursday was the fifth on the line this month.
Daily passenger traffic on all the 14 subway lines in Beijing hit 8.46 million people on Thursday, according to the subway authorities.
