China announces top journalism awards

BEIJING - The All-China Journalists Association (ACJA) on Friday honored several outstanding journalists and news reports by awarding them the country's top press prizes.
Nearly 300 news reports and commentaries from news organizations including the People's Daily, Xinhua News Agency, China Central Television(CCTV), China National Radio, People's Liberation Army Daily, as well as some local broadcasting stations, metropolitan newspapers and news portals received the 23rd China Journalism Awards from the association.
Articles covered topics such as politics, poverty relief, the Chinese dream, the Shenzhou-9 mission, the Diaoyu Islands and the lives of migrant workers.
ACJA will hold an awards ceremony ahead of Journalists' Day, November 7.
