A 36-year-old woman has cheated 40 men out of more than NT$10 million (over $340,000 or 2 million yuan) using 24 different roles over about three months in Taiwan, taiwan.cn reported.
The woman, surnamed Chen, was once a principal member of a fraud group, and established her own business after the group was broken up at the beginning of the year.
Chen picked 40 men from among a group of men who had been defrauded before. She even had sexual relationships with the men to obtain their trust.
One of the victims is a 60-year-old land agent who has been cheated out of more than NT$1 million (over $34,000).
Chen was detained while meeting with a man, as the man called police after he recognized her.
The case is still under investigation.
