Maserati caught in tree hit-and-run
A Maserati hit and fell four crape myrtles worth 320,000 yuan ($51,751) and sustained some damage near a park in Kunming, Southwest China’s Yunnan province, before speeding away into the night, chinanews.com reported on Monday.
The police quoted a witness saying that at 1:00 am on the day of the incident, a car ran into a parterre at the front gate of the park and the driver called a rescue vehicle to drag the car away.
The police tracked down the car to a garage on Dec 5 through a surveillance video. Its driver, a 26-year-old, confessed everything.
