Yangzhou (Jiangsu province): Nanhexia Area
Constructed started in the the late Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), Nanhexia is composed of more than 70 ancient alleys, with 109 historic buildings among them. Back in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), those buildings were the residences of rich salt merchants.
