"The Three-body problem", the first Chinese sci-fi novel series translated into English, is set for release in North America.
The American sci-fi publishing company, Tor Books has announced that the English version of the first part of "The Three-Body Problem" series will be circulated in American bookstores on Nov. 11.
The series, which was awarded the Galaxy Award, China’s top honor for science fiction, explores the world of the Trisolarans, a race that is forced to adapt to life in a triple star system.
"The Three-Body Problem" written by Liu Cixin has already sold over 1 million copies in China since its publication in 2008. It also sparked a new wave of science fiction fever in China. The Three-Body Trilogy has become a bible among Chinese sci-fi readers.
Last month, the game company Youzu.com announced it's been authorized to adapt the novel into a movie, as well as developing games based on the novels.
