Christina Aguilera says the last few years have been "rough".
The 'Voice' judge was arrested for public intoxication following a drunken night out with her boyfriend Matthew Rutler in March 2011, one month after she flubbed the lyrics to the US National Anthem at the Superbowl but Christina admitted it was her 2010 divorce which seemed to kickstart her troubles.
Speaking about the split from Jordan Bratman - which whom she has a four-year old son Max - she said: "That was a rough year. Between my divorce and the other things I went through, a lot happened. It's hard for anyone to go through that in public. But when you're a celebrity and under a microscope, it's 58 million times harder. I grew an even thicker skin after that hard year.
"I've been through my highs, I've been through my lows; I've been through the gamut of all things in this business."
Despite criticism over her weight, Christina, 31, she doesn't listen to detractors as long as her son is healthy and happy and her romantic relationship is secure.
She told America's Marie Claire: "I've been through my highs, I've been through my lows; I've been through the gamut of all things in this business. Being too thin. Being bigger. I've been criticised for being on both sides of the scale. It's noise I block out automatically. I love my body. My boyfriend loooves my body. My son is healthy and happy, so that's all that matters to me."
