The third Golden Broom Awards, known as China's answer to the Golden Razzies, highlighted the worst of Chinese cinema in 2011 on March 3.

Initiated by film critic and writer Cheng Qingsong, the event named actor Sun Honglei as the most disappointing actor in 2011 and Cecilia Cheung as his female counterpart.

The most disappointing films award went to Sun's The Warring States, Cheung's Legendary Amazons and Donnie Yen's The Lost Bladesman.

About 200,000 netizens nominated the films and actors. A jury of scholars, critics and journalists selected the final winners. No winner attended the award ceremony.
