Britney Spears has sold her house - for more than $1.2 million the asking price.
The 'Toxic' hitmaker - who has sons Sean, six, and five-year-old Jayden with ex-husband Kevin Federline - is now planning to rent a property with fiance Jason Trawick after her Beverly Hills estate sold for $4,253,000.
According to gossip website TMZ, the house - which is situated in gated community the Summit - was initially listed for $2,995,000 and Britney's representatives expected multiple bids and a bidding frenzy on the estate.
And the property - from where the 30-year-old singer was taken to hospital following her infamous meltdown four years ago - could still sell for even more when a public hearing on the sale takes place next month.
Because Britney is under conservatorship in probate court, there has to be a hearing about the property, and anyone is free to attend and overbid the current accepted offer.
It was recently claimed that Britney wants to have her conservatorship - which has her father Jamie Spears in co-control of her personal and professional affairs - come to an end soon.
A source said: "Britney has said that she feels she is ready to resume control of her life.
"She has expressed this sentiment on multiple occasions, but her doctor believes that Britney isn't ready for the conservatorship to be lifted. She has come a very long way in the last 18 months especially but her team wants more time.
"She just wants to be able to call her own shots."
