Alec Baldwin has slammed his alleged stalker on twitter.
Canadian actress Genevieve Sabourin, 40, appeared in a New York court on Monday (09.04.12) accused of stalking and aggravated harassment of the '30 Rock' actor after he reported her to police but Alec lashed out at her for smiling as she was led away in handcuffs.
He wrote: "Isn't it odd when an accused stalker is in handcuffs, being taken away by the cops, yet smiles for the cameras?"
According to prosecutors, Alec had dinner with the accused in 2010 as a "favour to a friend", but later had to change his phone number because she was bombarding him with text messages and emails.
It is claimed that Sabourin - who first met Alec on the set of 'The Adventures of Pluto Nash' in 2000 - had to be removed from the Lincoln Centre for the Performing Arts where Alec was hosting a screening of 'Last Tango In Paris' on April 5, and that she also turned up unannounced at his home on New York's Long Island on March 31, and his address in New York City.
Alec also wrote a message to his fiancee, 28-year-old yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas, praising her for her support.
He tweeted: "I am lucky and grateful in my life now, no matter what the motivations of certain others. @hilariathomas (sic)."
Hilaria replied: "Its a 2way st, amor" and also tweeted: "This woman has taken up enough of our time & energy. Now we have to trust the judicial system that they will protect us (sic)."
Ms Sabourin has been ordered to have "no contact whatsoever" with Alec and is due back in court on May 14.
