Rihanna's mother joked about her rumoured relationship with Ashton Kutcher at a recent party.
The 'You Da One' singer - who was linked to the 'Two and a Half Men' actor earlier this year - took her mum, Monica, to the Time 100 Gala last night (24.04.12) and admitted she wasn't impressed when she made a quip about her daughter's love life.
Rihanna, 24, wrote on her twitter page: "Well....2nt consisted of us singing Bob Marley, drinkin Vintage Scotch, and my mom thinkin a joke abt Kutcher was appropriate!''
However, she didn't elaborate on what the gag was.
Fortunately for Monica, Rihanna seemed to take the gag in good jest but just recently she "abruptly ended" an interview following a question about her love life.
The 'Battleship' star - who has also been linked to ex-boyfriend Chris Brown - called time on her chat with Australian show 'Sunrise' when asked about how "frustrating" it was to be linked to other Hollywood stars, even when she barely knows them.
Appearing annoyed, she replied: "Very frustrating. Almost as frustrating as being asked about it. I mean, what's the point."
Defending the question, the reporter explained: "Well people are interested in you, you're a big star," to which Rihanna responded: "They are. And they're interested in a lot of things - a lot of things that don't matter. Or shouldn't."
A voice-over then explained that the interview was "abruptly ended".
Rihanna - who was seen leaving Ashton's Hollywood home in the middle of the night - always denied she was dating Ashton and he is now rumoured to be romancing Mila Kunis.
