Whitney Houston's mother Cissy is reportedly planning to write a book about her daughter.
The family matriarch met with publishers in New York this week to discuss the possibility of creating a tome about the 'My Love is Your Love' hitmaker, who was found dead in a bath tub at the Beverly Hilton hotel in February.
A source told the New York Times Cissy was prepared to write about "the bad and the good" side of Whitney.
Two of the publishers who met with her at the St. Regis Hotel in New York claimed she was reluctant to discuss her daughter's death or drug habit.
Another publicist added: "She said, 'There are so many lies out there and I want to dispel all of those lies.'"
Cissy previously wrote her own memoir in 1998 entitled 'How Sweet the Sound' and told the tale of her upbringing in a religious family and her introduction to gospel music - which eventually led to her working as a backup singer for Elvis Presley with group the Sweet Inspirations.
It is believed she will use a ghost writer to pen the new book.
