Britain's Queen Elizabeth likes to "stand out".
The monarch - who is celebrating her 60th year on the British throne this year - is always keen to make sure she can be seen when in a crowd of people and asks those who design her clothes to keep that in mind when they are making items for her.
Rachel Trevor-Morgan, who is the head of state's personal milliner, said: "The brim is small because the queen is small and must be seen. What shades? Always bright. The queen likes to stand out."
There is also a secret to why her hat has never blown off in a sharp gust of wind - a number of hat pins.
Rachel added to Tatler magazine: "She has hat pins. You never see the queen holding on to her hat like other people."
However, it is not difficult for Rachel to create for Queen Elizabeth because she is the same size as her
mother.
She joked: "She's the same height and stature as my mother. I have to keep reminding myself who she is."
