Charlize Theron has shaved her hair into a short crop.
The 36-year-old actress was photographed sporting the new style while carrying son Jackson, six months, in Beverly Hills on Monday (11.06.12).
Charlize's new look is for her role as Furiosa in 'Mad Max 4: Fury Road' according to her representative.
She and Tom Hardy, 34, were first attached to the film in 2009 but it was postponed after a number of production setbacks.
She told Us Weekly: "It's been three years: It's time to skin this cat already! I'm very excited about it.
"The original 'Mad Max' created such a vivid world, so to go back and re-imagine it and re-play in that sandbox sounds like fun to me. It's a really challenging piece of material."
Charlize's latest movies 'Snow White and the Huntsman' and 'Prometheus' earned a combined $73 million in the United States this weekend.
Meanwhile, a 'Snow White' sequel has been commissioned with Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth both set to reprise their roles as the titular characters.
She continued: "With everything from 'Young Adult' to 'Prometheus', I feel very creatively satisfied, especially going in to 'Mad Max'. I feel very lucky."
