Sitkovetsky Trio will perform their debut in China as part of the UK Now arts festival, the largest festival of British arts and creative industries ever held in China. The Trio comprises violinist Alexander Sikovetsky from Moscow, pianist Wu Qian from Shanghai, and cellist Leonard Elschenbroich from Frankfurt, who got together because of their shared passion for chamber music. Founded in 2006, Trio made its debut appearance at the Wigmore Hall in London in 2008 and performed another recital there the following year as part of the Kirckman Society Award. It has also been invited to play in front of the Queen in London.
