Contest seeks film submissions

Actress Hao Lei has become the public face of the second Future Pictures Festival, which aims to find new talent in the creation of short films, serial dramas, commercials and other video works.
Hao participated in the first festival by directing a short film about hotpot. Her movie's lead, Tan Weiwei, won the best actress award. Hong Kong director Peter Chan heads the jury, which includes such industry leaders as director Chen Xiaoqing, Zhang Yibai and McCann Erickson SGM Works' managing director Tomaz Mok.
Contestants can upload their works to the event's official website before January 2013.
