WeChat users are also talking about who would be the right pick for Mulan.
Acting, English proficiency, popularity and "Phoenix eyes", a term that's used to refer to long and lean eyes with a gaze that can "kill", were listed as the major four criteria required for Mulan.
Charlie's Angel actress Lucy Liu, who seemed to fulfill all the requirements listed above, is now one of the most popular choices among Chinese netizens. Other candidates raised include actresses Tang Wei, Li Bingbing, Fan Bingbing, Ni Ni and Zhang Ziyi.
When asked who she would pick to play the female warrior, Molnar did have some suggestions.
"Two of my favorites are Fan Bingbing and Constance Wu, especially if the adaptation is a musical. I also love the Twitter campaign for Ming-Na Wen, Mulan's original voice actress, to reprise her role."
Disney has not revealed its casting for Mulan yet.
