Knowing how to cope in the aftermath of a disaster, and help others, is an important skill, says an article in the 21st Century Business Herald (excerpts below)

Individual citizens and social organizations are willing and want to help quake victims but they are less organized than trained professionals.

The government should organize regular training for citizens and social organizations to so that in times of crisis more people can actually help the search and rescue teams.

China has the largest population in the world and is also a country frequently hit by natural disasters. Lessons can be learned from other countries about coping with the aftermath of disasters.
