Wang Yimei, a top attacker in China's national women's volleyball team, injured her right ankle during training in Ningbo, Zhengjiang province, and was transferred to Beijing for treatment on April 30, 2012.
One Weibo user issued the news that Wang was seen on a flight from Ningbo to Beijing on April 30, and that she had asked for a wheelchair. Another Internet user saw her at Peking University Third Hospital with canes under her arms on May 2.
According to some sources, Wang has possibly hurt her ligament and may face an operation too, in which case she may not participate at the London Olympics. She will miss the three matches against South Korea starting from May 3 in Zhejiang province.
