ROME - AC Milan announced on its website on Tuesday that their Brazilian striker Robinho has suffered leg injury and could be rested for up to a month.
The statement released by the Italian Serie A club confirmed that tests had shown a "first degree strain to the right thigh during Sunday's Milan-Sampdoria match. The recovery time is expected to be three to four weeks, save for complications."
It is another bitter blow for the Rossoneri, who already lost Pato to a muscular problem during the Trofeo Berlusconi earlier this month.
Missing Robinho will only further add to the striker shortage, which is now becoming chronic.
