Transport
The transport network in Hohhot is small but convenient, allowing visitors to tour the city easily. As a popular tourist destination, the city is well connected by air, rail and daily buses to many major Chinese cities including Beijing and Tianjin.
Direct flights from Beijing to Hohhot cost 500 yuan ($79, 64 euros) one way, and take about 50 minutes.
Weather
Hohhot has four distinct seasons. It is cold and dry in winter and hot and rainy in summer. Summer is the best time to go horse riding on its grasslands.
