French shooting suspect surrounded by police

TOULOUSE - French police has surrounded the hideout of the main suspect in the series of deadly shootings in Toulouse and nearby Montauban, officials said Wednesday morning.

The 24-year-old male suspect fired at police from a house where he was holing up alone and one officer was hurt during the exchange of gunshots, media reports said.
Interior Minister Claude Glean told reporters at the scene that the suspect's brother has been arrested.
