NAIROBI - Burnt wreckage of two missing Ugandan military helicopters was found in Mt. Kenya, a Kenyan official said Tuesday.
"Wreckage of the two missing Ugandan helicopters was discovered this morning by a fixed wing aircraft which cannot land there. Already rescue operations are underway to rescue the soldiers," Kenya's military spokesman Bongita Ongeri told Xinhua by telephone.
Seven of the 28 Ugandan soldiers, who had been aboard one of the ill-fated helicopters en route from Entebbe, Uganda, to Mogadishu, Somalia, for an ongoing military onslaught against Al-Shabaab, were rescued on Monday, said the spokesman.
