Two killed in S Thailand shootings

BANGKOK - Two villagers were killed and one wounded in two separate attacks in Thailand's southern Yala province early Wednesday morning, local media reported.
A man with gunshot wounds was found dead in a rubber plantation this morning. Witnesses told police that the victim left his house after midnight to go rubber tapping.
Earlier, another man returning home on a motorcycle from a tea shop was attacked by a group of men with handguns. He was hit in the head and body and died on the spot. A stray bullet wounded a 37-year-old woman, who was walking in front of her house.The two incidents are under investigation.
