IRKUTSK - An explosion has ripped through a petroleum storage depot in Russia's Irkutsk region, leaving one person injured, RIA Novosti news agency reported on Friday.
A rupture of an oxygen container's hose caused the explosion Thursday evening near Elovskaya Mountain, 25 km from the city of Angarsk, the report said.
A 31-year-old worker, who was hospitalized with face and neck burns, was in stable conditions, the report said, adding that a gas-burner was also damaged.
A police investigation into the incident was underway.
