Occupy Wall Street activists and anti-war pacifists protest on the street in Charlotte, North Carolina on Tuesday, September 4, the first day of the three-day Democratic National Convention being held in the city. The protesters, who were stopped by a police blockade a block from the Charlotte Convention Center where the delegates are meeting, protested everything from money in politics to drone attacks and the arrest of Bradley Manning, the US Army soldier awaiting trial for releasing classified information to WikiLeaks.
