The popular American rocker left the island on Sunday after touring historic sites and the nightly entertainment circuit along with his wife and some friends, the official daily Granma reported Monday.
Bon Jovi expressed his interest in playing on the island and said jokingly that "the Rolling Stones moved forward before him", the report said.
He and his companions visited the Cuban Art Factory, considered one of the most innovative cultural spaces in Havana, as other foreign musicians did before in their trip to the Caribbean nation.
At present Bon Jovi is preparing a world tour with his band for 2017, aimed to promote its latest album "This House Is Not For Sale", and he wanted to include Havana in the circuit.
After the reestablishment of the diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States, Havana has become a new stage in the boom for musicians and film makers.
Last May, the French fashion house Chanel presented its new "Cruise" collection in Havana, while the locals witnessed the spectacular race of vehicles during the filming of "Fast and Furious 8", an unprecedented event in the last half century in Cuba.
