China to meet ROK in World Cup qualifier on Thursday
The Chinese national soccer team will take on the Republic of Korea for a berth in the 2018 World Cup on Thursday. China ranks bottom in the six-team Group A, seven points adrift of third place. Only the top three teams have hopes of a World Cup berth. In the previous phase, China suffered a 3-2 defeat to ROK in Seoul.

Report to look at restoration of treasured cultural relics
A massive 500,000-square-meter Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220) archaeological site has been uncovered in Tongzhou, Beijing's new subcenter. Beijing invested 140 million yuan ($20.3 million) in the restoration and protection of cultural relics between 2000 and 2015.
