Life as a third wheel exposed on line; testing way to avoid excess baggage fee; inspirational art lights the way and dads earn beers for helping daughters do their hair. Interesting, red-hot and downright odd anecdotes from around the world in our news review of the week.
Fill up with beer by-product

A new biofuel called Brewtroleum, developed by DB Export a brewery in New Zealand, has been launched in Auckland. The fuel is derived from leftovers of the brewing process, chiefly grain and yeast, which previously would be thrown away or given to animals.
The company said Brewtroleum emits 8 percent less carbon than gasoline. It is not the first time a beer by-product has been used to create a more green form of sustainable fuel but DB says it is the first company to bring it to the commercial market.
After the launch, drivers lined up at a gas station to fill their tanks with the brew juice.
