More than 1,400 scenic spots across the country will have an average ticket discount of 20 percent during the National Day holiday (Oct 1-7), the National Reform and Reform Commission announced on Friday.
Scenic spots in five areas, Hubei, Guangdong, Hainan and Yunnan provinces, along with the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, will offer discounts. Some well-known tourist spots in Chongqing, Jiangxi and Hubei were also included in the price adjustment, the authority announced on its website.
The commission also requires price control authorities at local levels to announce the price adjustment plan to the public on time and take action against scenic spots that fail to adjustment prices.
