Fat thief's size is his downfall
A thief who was too fat to escape returned more money than he stole to his victim, in a desperate attempt to get free, Puyang Morning Newspaper reported.
On Tuesday, in Puyang city of Henan, a thief stole 500 yuan from a woman's pocket while on a bus, and got off at the next stop. However, some passengers that spotted him stealing also got off to chase him.
Because he was overweight, the thief couldn't run fast, and he was caught by two women after a chase of less than 50 meters. Desperate to get away, he nudged 800 yuan into one of the women's hands.
The two women let him go, deciding not to call the police, and having a laugh at his expense.
Being fat might prevent your escape, but it may help you survive an accident. See our next story.
