Young Chinese artists Qiu Ting and Xu Jianwei are holding a group show entitled From Heart to Art at Beijing's Today Art Museum.

There are no works on the walls. Instead, the displayed ink painting scrolls are kept in intricately designed boxes. Artists and their assistants open the boxes, unroll the scrolls and explain their works to visitors.

The exhibition "helps viewers enjoy a similar experience to that of ancient intellectuals, who appreciated ink scrolls at small private gatherings", curator Wu Hongliang says.
