Sammo Hung began learning Peking Opera at Yu Jim-Yuen's China Drama Academy when he was six years old. He is considered the most pivotal figure in Hong Kong's action film industry. He is the big brother of the "Seven Little Fortunes" performing group, together with Jackie Chan, Yuen Biao, Corey Yuen, Yuen Wah, Yuen Tak and Yuen Miu.
In 1961, Hung started his career as actor, martial artist, action director, film producer and director. He has won two Best Actor awards, three Best Martial Art Chorographer awards, and several Best Action Director awards.
