As a Hong Kong native, Jackie Chan began learning Peking Opera at Yu Jim-Yuen's China Drama Academy. Since 1962, he started his career in the Hong Kong film industry as stuntman, action director, actor, producer and film director. He is best known for his acrobatic fighting style, comic timing, use of improvised weapons, and innovative stunts.
Jackie Chan has appeared in more than 150 films, and directed 15 films, most of which are action movies. He has been awarded stars on the Hong Kong Avenue of Stars and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He is undoubtedly the most renowned kung fu star in China and the world at present.
