The Northwest University North America Alumni Association was established in New York on Sunday. The Chinese university, located in Xi'an, capital city of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, was founded 115 years ago. Present at the ceremony of the association were Guo Lihong (fifth from left, second row), president of the university, and Hongbao Ma (third from left, second row), president of the association. The association is expected to help promote talent, academic exchange and cooperation between the Chinese university and its American alumni. Zhizhi Cen / China Daily
